Our audiology program prepares you to become a hearing and balance specialist鈥攕omeone who changes lives by helping people connect with the world around them. You’ll study the science of hearing, anatomy and neuroscience, while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge diagnostic tools and hearing technologies. From children鈥檚 screenings to helping older adults manage hearing loss, you鈥檒l learn to assess, diagnose and treat patients across their lifespans. You鈥檒l also build skills in applied research and complete a nine-month, full-time externship at an audiology clinic.

Our Doctorate in Audiology program is the only one of its kind in New Jersey and one of approximately 75 programs nationwide. With a Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree, you’ll be prepared for a rewarding career in healthcare, education or industry鈥攚herever people need help hearing clearly and living fully. .

Meet Audiologists with Hearing Loss

Two 麻豆传媒在线 Students Turn Their Own Hearing Loss into Audiology Careers. Graduate doctoral classmates Grace Gleba and Nicole Genser were both born with hearing loss and were fitted with hearing aids at three months. The two doctors of audiology now help people who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Admission Requirements

  • Equivalent of a U.S. bachelor鈥檚 degree.
  • You may enter the program at either the post-baccalaureate or post-master鈥檚 level.
    • If you do not have an undergraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders, you may need to take additional courses to meet state licensing or CCC-A eligibility requirements. These courses include Introduction to Language Development and Phonetic Study of Speech Sounds.
    • If you are applying to the post-master鈥檚 program, you must hold a master鈥檚 degree in audiology and have, or be eligible for, the Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Applicants with a GPA below 3.0 will not be considered for admission.
  • Deposit Required:聽An enrollment deposit聽is required upon admission and will be applied to your first semester鈥檚 tuition.

Application Checklist

  • Application Deadline: Application Deadline: February 15th (Fall admission only).
  • Applications are submitted via the . To apply, use the聽 and add 鈥溌槎勾皆谙哜 to your selected programs. For assistance with the CSDCAS application, visit their .
  • CSDCAS Application fee: CSDCAS requires a variable fee from all applicants ($133 for your first application, $53 for each subsequent application).
  • Transcript: One from each college attended.
  • Essays/Personal Statement: One (1) essay is required. Give evidence of your unique talents and experiences as an applicant to doctoral study at 麻豆传媒在线. In preparing your statement, please keep in mind that the Admissions Committee is seeking evidence of your ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Please include your reasons for pursuing doctoral studies by referring to relevant personal, academic and work experiences. Please also outline your future plans and any other information that may be of interest to the Admissions Committee.
  • Letters of Recommendation: Three (3) letters of recommendation, including at least two (2) from professional colleagues or college/university faculty who can attest to your potential for advanced study and research. Letters can be submitted via the CSDCAS recommender portal.
  • Resume: Optional.
  • Standardized Test Scores: GRE Test Scores are recommended, but not required. Official GRE scores should be sent using code 2520.
