It\u2019s designed for candidates who already hold a CEAS or standard New Jersey certification in another area, such as Elementary K\u20136 or a P\u201312 secondary subject.<\/p>\n<p>Through a sequence of five courses, you\u2019ll strengthen your mathematics content knowledge and learn how to design engaging, effective lessons that meet New Jersey\u2019s mathematics standards. Coursework covers topics such as algebra, geometry, and mathematical connections across disciplines, as well as teaching strategies tailored to middle school learners. You\u2019ll also gain skills to foster curiosity, confidence, and deeper understanding of math in your students.<\/p>\n<p>After completing all program and state requirements, you\u2019ll be eligible for certification to teach mathematics in grades 5\u20138 in New Jersey public schools.
