You&#8217;ll study the science of hearing, anatomy and neuroscience, while gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge diagnostic tools and hearing technologies. From children\u2019s screenings to helping older adults manage hearing loss, you\u2019ll learn to assess, diagnose and treat patients across their lifespans. You\u2019ll also build skills in applied research and complete a nine-month, full-time externship at an audiology clinic.<\/p>\n<p>Our Doctorate in Audiology program is the only one of its kind in New Jersey and one of approximately 75 programs nationwide. Graduate doctoral classmates Grace Gleba and Nicole Genser were both born with hearing loss and were fitted with hearing aids at three months. The two doctors of audiology now help people who are deaf or hard of hearing.<\/p><\/div><\/div><div class=\"prpl-band lt-gray no-margin\"><div class=\"text-content\">\n<h2>Admission Requirements<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Equivalent of a U.S. bachelor\u2019s degree.<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"64\" data-end=\"182\">You may enter the program at either the post-baccalaureate or post-master\u2019s level.\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"423\" data-end=\"735\">If you do not have an undergraduate degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders, you may need to take additional courses to meet state licensing or CCC-A eligibility requirements. These courses include <em data-start=\"656\" data-end=\"694\">Introduction to Language Development<\/em> and <em data-start=\"699\" data-end=\"732\">Phonetic Study of Speech Sounds<\/em>.<\/li>\n<li>If you are applying to the <strong data-start=\"203\" data-end=\"228\">post-master\u2019s program,<\/strong> you must hold a master\u2019s degree in audiology and have, or be eligible for, the <strong data-start=\"304\" data-end=\"363\">Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A)<\/strong> from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Applicants with a <strong>GPA below 3.0 will not be considered<\/strong> for admission.<\/li>\n<li>Deposit Required:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/commit\/\">An enrollment deposit<\/a>\u00a0is required upon admission and will be applied to your first semester\u2019s tuition.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants with non-U.S. degrees, please visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/how-to-apply\/international-applicants\/\">International Applicants page<\/a> to review the US degree equivalency information.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Application Checklist<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Application Deadline: Application Deadline: February 15th (Fall admission only).<\/li>\n<li>Applications are submitted via the <strong data-stringify-type=\"bold\"><a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/csdcas.liaisoncas.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"c-link\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/csdcas.liaisoncas.com\/\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\">Communication Sciences and Disorders Centralized Application Service (CSDCAS)<\/a>.<\/strong> To apply, use the\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/csdcas.liaisoncas.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"c-link\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/csdcas.liaisoncas.com\/\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\">CSDCAS application<\/a> and add \u201c麻豆传媒在线\u201d to your selected programs. Give evidence of your unique talents and experiences as an applicant to doctoral study at 麻豆传媒在线. In preparing your statement, please keep in mind that the Admissions Committee is seeking evidence of your ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Please include your reasons for pursuing doctoral studies by referring to relevant personal, academic and work experiences. Please also outline your future plans and any other information that may be of interest to the Admissions Committee.<\/li>\n<li>Letters of Recommendation: Three (3) letters of recommendation, including at least two (2) from professional colleagues or college\/university faculty who can attest to your potential for advanced study and research. Letters can be submitted via the CSDCAS recommender portal.<\/li>\n<li>Resume: Optional.<\/li>\n<li>Standardized Test Scores: GRE Test Scores are recommended, but not required.
