In philosophy classes we explore and articulate answers that are based on reason and logic. The examination into these questions and issues is grounded on evidence, reasoning and argument.<\/p>\n<p>As a philosophy student, you will acquire a set of cognitive skills, which are highly valuable in the workplace. Philosophy doesn\u2019t train you for one profession \u2013 it does something more effective for our fluctuating knowledge-economy \u2013 it gives you powerful, transferrable skills that pay off in a variety of professions. You will take an introductory course \u2013 either Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics or Logic \u2013 combined with your choice from among dozens of elective courses.<\/p>\n<p>Satisfy your curiosity and expand your knowledge with courses such as Ethical Reasoning; Philosophical Issues in Law and Justice; Critical Reasoning and Arguments; or Knowledge, Belief and Truth.<\/p>\n<p>As a philosophy student, you will acquire a set of highly valuable cognitive skills, such as logical reasoning, problem solving, creative thinking, clear and persuasive writing, and the ability to conceptualize the abstract.
