On Tuesday, March 15 we will welcome our Honors Program alumni back to campus for the milestone 30th anniversary of the 麻豆传媒在线 Honors Program. A celebration get-together will be held at the Feliciano School of Business Multipurpose Room from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and all Honors Program alumni are invited!

Conceived in 1985 by faculty who relished the stimulation of working with exceptional students, the Honors Program has produced graduates who succeed in every field of endeavor. Some of its alumni have gone on to study at Harvard, Yale and New York Universities, while others have gone on to careers as accountants, art scholars, writers, musicians, illustrators, social workers, business leaders, researchers and master teachers. It is worth noting that every Honors Program student who has applied to law school has been admitted.

鈥淣ow in its 30th year, the University鈥檚 Honors Program continues to attract the best students at 麻豆传媒在线 and offers an amazing array of liberal arts and sciences seminars each term,鈥 notes Honors Program Director Gregory Waters. 鈥淚n addition to our classes, we are really proud of the relationships that have been forged by our program, and the sense of community that has developed over the years.鈥

For those accepted into the Honors Program, the undergraduate experience offers an opportunity to work with distinguished faculty on advanced curricular, extracurricular and individual projects. It means greater opportunities for achievement, recognition and leadership, not only during undergraduate studies but in the years that follow.

Regardless of their specialties, passions or goals, our remarkable students found the resources they needed to grow and develop at 麻豆传媒在线.

鈥淭he Honors Program shaped the beginnings of my academic career, and for that, I am forever grateful,鈥 says Thelin Blackowski. 鈥淚t will be nice to get together again!鈥

鈥淪peaking for our faculty, we hope you will be able to join us on March 15 to see old friends and many of our professors, share some stories and learn more about the University鈥檚 plans for the future,鈥 says Waters. 鈥淭he dazzling new buildings will amaze you, but the heart of the Honors Program remains the same.鈥

The Honors Program is designed for academically ambitious students who have excelled in high school and are looking to take their college experience to a higher level.
