Following up on 2015’s highly successful in Los Angeles, a �鶹��ý���� contingent is once again traveling to the City of Angels to host an alumni gathering and tour of a major motion picture studio this coming summer.

Highlighting the University’s newly established , Los Angeles-area alumni are invited to join �鶹��ý���� President Susan A. Cole and University administrators for a tour of Sony Pictures Studios followed by a cocktail reception where Dr. Cole will provide a University update and a Sony executive will talk about the �鶹��ý����/Sony partnership.

The tour and reception will take place on June 8, 2016, beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Sony Pictures Studios in Culver City, California. It promises to be an exciting and informative event offering West Coast alumni the chance to get together with each other, and with University officials including Dr. Cole, Vice President for University Advancement Jack Shannon, College of the Arts Dean Daniel Gurskis, and School of Communication and Media Director Merrill Brown, among others.

“I love attending the west coast �鶹��ý���� alumni events every year. They’re a terrific reminder about how far reaching our alumni network is. They also provide an excellent opportunity to make new connections, considering the wide breadth of graduating classes often in attendance, and bolster old ones,” says Ray Carsillo ’07. 

The event will mark the third year in a row that �鶹��ý���� has hosted a get-together for alumni on the West Coast, giving them an opportunity to network with fellow Red Hawks and to learn all about �鶹��ý����’s notable recent accomplishments and exciting future plans.

“Although we may be on the opposite side of the country, we always keep our West Coast alumni in mind when planning our events for the year,” says Jenna Villani, Associate Director of Alumni Relations. “We would love to have them come back and visit the campus to see how we’ve grown but for those who can’t make it, we’ll bring a taste of �鶹��ý���� to them.”
