Matching gift programs are provided by companies in support of the philanthropic causes of their employees. Through these programs, companies match employee donations that are made to eligible organizations.

“A donor who can access a matching gift opportunity is not only increasing their gift amount to �鶹��ý����, but also partnering with theirs or their spouses corporation,” says Kara Baldwin Brennan ’92, Director of Annual Giving. “These corporations who offer matching gift opportunities have truly made higher education a philanthropic priority,” adds Brennan. “At �鶹��ý����, we value keeping the cost of education and a dream of a degree affordable for our students. With state aid accounting for only 19%, we must rely on private support. We are extremely grateful the impact of doubling or even tripling a gift might have through a donor’s use of their matching gift program. A win for our students, a win for our donor, and a win for their employer.”

These programs are a great way for companies to support higher education and a chance for graduates to double or even triple a gift to �鶹��ý����. This past fiscal year, �鶹��ý���� was proud to receive gifts that were matched by companies including The Disney Company, Colgate Palmolive, State Farm, ExxonMobil Foundation, and many more.
