Handshake offers the option to unregistered for an event that you will no longer be participating in.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Navigate to <strong>Events\u00a0<\/strong>on your Handshake homepage, then view the events listed on\u00a0<strong>Your Schedule<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click the event that you would like to unregister for.<\/li>\n<li>Below the banner, on the right side of the page, the <strong>Registered<\/strong>\u00a0button will be greyed out \u2013 click that button anyway.\n<figure class=\"responsive-image-holder wp-caption alignnone\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"mlt-responsive-image\" data-original-image=\"\/career-services\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/93\/2022\/05\/Registered-Event-Button-in-Handshake.png\" src=\"\/responsive-media\/cache\/career-services\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/93\/2022\/05\/Registered-Event-Button-in-Handshake.png.0.1x.generic.jpg\" alt=\"Registered Event Button in Handshake\"\/><\/figure><\/li>\n<li>Once clicked, the\u00a0<strong>Register<\/strong>\u00a0button will change to dark blue and appear clickable again. This means you have successfully unregistered for the event! Once you leave an event, the event will no longer be listed under the\u00a0<strong>Your Schedule<\/strong>\u00a0section.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Note:<\/strong> if you registered for an event through and employers external link, the cancellation process will be different.\u00a0 View Handshake&#8217;s help article on how to cancel your registration for an external link.<\/p>\n<span class=\"prpl-button\"><a href=\"https:\/\/sso.peoplegrove.com\/montclair-handshake\">Handshake Login<\/a><\/span>\n<h2>Virtual Events on Handshake<\/h2>\n<p>Employers host a variety of virtual events on Handshake to connect with students and alumni across the country and provide an inside look at their companies. Common virtual events include:<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=RSoRP0b4uPU\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Live Q&amp;As (opens in a new tab)\">Live Q&amp;As<\/a>\u00a0with a recruiter or hiring manager. You\u2019ll have the opportunity to ask questions directly about what you\u2019d like to know\u2014including career opportunities, interview processes, company culture and more.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rSvcHwmSD1Q\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Panel discussions (opens in a new tab)\">Panel discussions<\/a>\u00a0with current employees, including recent grads or alumni. You can learn about their backgrounds, career journeys and experiences at the company. As with Q&amp;A events, there is usually an opportunity for you to ask the panelists a question at the end.<\/p>\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=dXEK835X1mk\" target=\"_blank\" aria-label=\"Office tours (opens in a new tab)\">Office tours<\/a>\u00a0give you an exclusive look at what a typical day is like for an intern or new employee.\u00a0Virtual tours are a unique way to see the lesser-known, fun aspects of life at the company that you can\u2019t find anywhere else.<\/p>\n<p>You should approach virtual event etiquette the same way you would for an in-person meeting with a potential employer.
