We want to express our gratitude to Governor Mikie Sherrill for her support of at and for congratulating our inaugural 2026 Rate School starting today.
It provides essential training right here in New Jersey, and advances Governor Sherrill’s mission to increase affordability across the state.
The Governor underscored how vital it is to build expertise in utility regulation, rate design, and oversight of essential services like electricity, gas, and water.
CESAC Director Dr. Pankaj Lal said, Lal “This work extends far beyond New Jersey. The East Coast faces shared challenges: aging infrastructure, clean energy integration, affordability, and climate resilience. A well‑trained regulatory workforce strengthens coordination and raises the standard of decision making across state lines.”
Across the United States, the demand for practitioners who understand both the technical and public‑interest dimensions of utility regulation is growing. Programs like CESAC’s Rate School help build that national capacity.
CESAC is proud to be part of this vision!
