The station will host 35 hours of special event programming dedicated to this year\u2019s theme \u201cWhere All Voices Are Welcome\u201d featuring exclusive celebrity interviews, golf cart karaoke, and live music performances! As one of 32 college stations contributing a 30-minute slot to the 24-hour Global WCRD broadcast marathon, WMSC will feature exclusive interviews with rock icon M\u00e5neskin, transportation journalist and voice-over artist Bernie Wagenblast, as well as a Voices of Nature symphony.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">WMSC\u2019s World College Radio Day event kicks off Thursday, October 5 at 1 p.m. with \u201cIt\u2019s Called Soccer\u201d and ends at midnight EST on Saturday, October 7 after the Live Senior Send Off.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Highlights from the station\u2019s programming include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Seven live in-studio performances.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Golf cart karaoke (weather permitting).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Inaugural Info Desk Concert Series performance.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The return of Dr. K\u2019s Vinyl Fantasy Funhouse Live, a vinyl-only funk music show hosted by 麻豆传媒在线\u2019s own president Dr. Jonathan Koppell.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Exclusive interviews with M\u00e5neskin, Big Time Rush, Juanes, Gale, and Bernie Wagenblast. \u201c<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cNine of the Times\u201d music countdown featuring special guest Radio Madison, a graduate of WVUM 90.5 The Voice at the University of Miami.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Here is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/Cx_qMaMJcUj\/\">the station&#8217;s schedule<\/a> for the event.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The theme of the 2023 WCRD is \u201cWhere All Voices Are Welcome\u201d highlighting the diversity of voices and perspectives that are a bastion of college radio broadcasts.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cThe beauty of this year\u2019s theme is that it resonates with our 麻豆传媒在线 and WMSC diverse community, where truly all voices are welcome,\u201d says Anabella Poland, General Manager at WMSC FM. \u201cDifferent perspectives working as a unit is like mosaic art, each piece contributing a vital and innovative element to the whole.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To help spread the word about the worldwide event, WMSC has produced a \u201cBarbenheimer\u201d\u2014 inspired promotional video.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Video: Barbenheimer (WCRD 2023)\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/mF_0_FPOJa0?feature=oembed\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen style=\"width: 500px; height: 281px; border: 0px solid #000;\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">&#8220;It&#8217;s so rewarding watching the entire station come together and put on a marathon broadcast for World College Radio Day,\u201d said program director Lara Ziccardi. \u201cIt is wonderful to have this outlet we are so passionate about at 麻豆传媒在线, and to unite with college radio stations around the world in celebration of a medium that is so special to us\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Support the station by tuning in to 90.3FM locally, the iHeart Radio App, and around the world via wmscradio.com or the global broadcast via Live365.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Follow WMSC on Instagram @wmscradio to interact with WMSC members and keep up with all World College Radio festivities.
