They advance in publishing, media, journalism, higher education, nonprofit, and business careers. They become informed citizens, independent researchers, careful readers, and artful writers.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ba-english\/\">BA in English<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ma-english\/\">MA in English<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Application Requirements<\/h2>\n<p>If you are a prospective Freshman or Transfer applicant, learn more about admission criteria <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/admissions\/apply-and-check-status\/admissions-requirements\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"prpl-drawer\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer-header\">Students with a GPA of 3&period;7 or above<\/div><div class=\"prpl-drawer-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>Application Deadline: Rolling admission<\/li>\n<li>Students will be sent an expedited application from Graduate Admissions to complete<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"prpl-drawer\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer-header\">Students with a GPA between 3&period;7 - 3&period;0<\/div><div class=\"prpl-drawer-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>Application Deadline: Rolling admission<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Transcript: 麻豆传媒在线 transcript will be uploaded by Graduate Admissions<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Letters of Recommendation: Two (2) letters of recommendation, from persons qualified to evaluate the applicant\u2019s promise of academic achievement and potential for professional growth.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Resume: A current resume is not required, but applicants are encouraged to include one.<\/li>\n<li>Writing sample of your academic writing or literary analysis:\n<ul>\n<li>Minimum of 7 pages<\/li>\n<li>Specify (1) some close analysis of a text and (2) at least 2-3 research citations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Statement of Purpose \u2013 Please write an integrated essay providing a response to each of the following questions:\n<ul>\n<li>What are your goals for graduate study and your future career?<\/li>\n<li>In what ways do your academic background and your professional experiences provide evidence of your potential for success in the program you selected and in your eventual career? Please give specific examples of relevant coursework and\/or experience.<\/li>\n<li>Is there any further information we should consider in assessing your candidacy?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"prpl-drawer\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer-header\">Students with a GPA below 3&period;0<\/div><div class=\"prpl-drawer-content\">\n<p>Students with a GPA below a 3.0 are not eligible for admission to a Combined Program, and will need to\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/how-to-apply\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"c-link\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/how-to-apply\/\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" data-remove-tab-index=\"true\">submit a traditional application<\/a>\u00a0to their\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/programs-of-study\/#\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"c-link\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/programs-of-study\/#\/\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" data-remove-tab-index=\"true\">graduate program of interest<\/a>.
