The information technology curriculum prepares students for the study, design, development, implementation, testing and support of applications of computing and communication technologies to solve the major challenges in today\u2019s business, industry or government work environments. The primary mission of this degree is to train students in core Data Science competencies and expose students to a broad range of Data Science related topics and applications, preparing them to be part of the next generation Data Science workforce.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/bs-information-technology\/\">BS in Information Technology<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ms-data-science\/\">MS in Data Science<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Application Requirements<\/h2>\n<div class=\"prpl-drawer\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer-header\">Students with a GPA of 3&period;0 or above<\/div><div class=\"prpl-drawer-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>Application Deadline: Rolling admission<\/li>\n<li>Students will be sent an expedited application from Graduate Admissions to complete<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<div class=\"prpl-drawer\"><div class=\"prpl-drawer-header\">Students with a GPA below 3&period;0<\/div><div class=\"prpl-drawer-content\">\n<p>Students with a GPA below a 3.0 are not eligible for admission to a Combined Program, and will need to\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/how-to-apply\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"c-link\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/how-to-apply\/\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" data-remove-tab-index=\"true\">submit a traditional application<\/a>\u00a0to their\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/programs-of-study\/#\/\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"c-link\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/graduate\/programs-of-study\/#\/\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" data-remove-tab-index=\"true\">graduate program of interest<\/a>.
