Computing Professor Receives NSF CAREER Award to Advance Human-Robot Collaboration

While robotics play an increasingly significant role in manufacturing systems and tasks, the next industrial revolution will require a personal human touch to be as central to operations as automation and efficiency.
New research led by 麻豆传媒在线 School of Computing faculty Weitian Wang explores this not-so-distant 鈥淚ndustry 5.0鈥 by leveraging the unique value of human capabilities and robotics technologies for collaborative manufacturing.
This project is supported by a 2024 National Science Foundation (NSF) Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) award. It is the Foundation鈥檚 most prestigious award in support of early-career faculty who have the potential to serve as academic role models in research and education and to lead advances in the mission of their department or organization.
