Background<\/h2>\n

Visitors are persons, without current vivarium access, who are invited to the vivarium by researchers to observe and\/or participate in research activities.\u00a0 Visitors may be affiliated or non-affiliated with 麻豆传媒在线.\u00a0 These guidelines must be followed to minimize or eliminate risks to personnel and visitors, and disruptions to research activity.<\/span><\/p>\n

Definitions<\/h2>\n

  1. LAR: Laboratory Animal Resources<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. IACUC: Institution Animal Care and Use Committee<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. PI: Principal Investigator<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Visitor: Visitors are persons, without current vivarium access, who are invited to the vivarium by researchers to observe and\/or participate in research activities. Facilities personnel and contracted workers are not considered visitors.<\/li>\n
  5. PPE: Personal Protective Equipment<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Responsibility<\/h2>\n

    The research staff, visitors and LAR staff are responsible for abiding and adhering to the process and the requirements stated in these guidelines.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Scope<\/h2>\n

    This policy applies to all visitors of 麻豆传媒在线 Vivarium.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Guidelines<\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. 麻豆传媒在线 researchers interested in hosting visitors in the vivarium must have the visitor fill out the Visitor Questionnaire<\/a> 1 week prior to the planned visit.<\/span><\/li>\n
    2. The vivarium director or LAR staff should respond to the host researcher regarding the Visitor Questionnaire<\/a> submission within 48 hours.<\/span><\/li>\n
    3. Visitors must adhere to 麻豆传媒在线 and departmental policies and guidelines.<\/span><\/li>\n
    4. Visitors must follow vivarium procedures such as donning proper PPE and remaining with the host researcher or designee at all times.<\/li>\n
    5. All visitors must sign the visitor log located in the vivarium tech office.<\/li>\n
    6. All visitors must allow a minimum of 24 hours before entering the 麻豆传媒在线 Vivarium after having been in another vivarium as well as changing into fresh clothes.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
