In order to meet the growing needs of the campus community, 麻豆传媒在线 EMS, in cooperation with the Office of Residence Life, has developed the Resident Emergency Medical Technician Program. This program is designed to increase the availability of emergency medical technicians (EMTs) on campus during evening and weekend hours, in addition to weekday shifts. In exchange for their service, Resident EMTs receive a waiver of housing costs in one of three designated EMT apartments in The Village. Each apartment houses four (4) EMTs in either single or double rooms. Assignment of rooms is based on seniority and other factors.<\/p>\n
If selected, the resident EMT will be responsible for being on campus and on-call a minimum of one night per week (11 p.m. to 8 a.m.), three day shifts per week (12 hours total) and two 12-hour weekend shifts per month. In addition, the resident EMT will agree to carry a radio and assist in handling emergency calls whenever possible, attend all scheduled EMS meetings and training, and commit to regularly scheduled hours during the summer months. Current 麻豆传媒在线 EMS department service is required before being able to apply for an open position.<\/p>\n
