Martin Farawell<\/strong> graduated in 1986 with a degree in English and a minor in Journalism; he currently serves as the Director of the Geraldine Dodge Poetry Festival<\/a>. <\/p><\/div><\/p><\/div>\n

Danilo Figueredo<\/strong> (1976) is Library Director at Bloomfield College and a successful author of children’s books. <\/p><\/div><\/p><\/div>\n

Selected Alumni Achievements in 2016-2017<\/h2>\n

Christina Jen <\/strong>(BA 2011) is a PhD candidate in the English Department at Rutgers University.<\/p>\n

Bianca Perez-Cancino <\/strong>(BA 2014) is a PhD candidate in the English Department at Indiana University.<\/p>\n

Emily Midkiff <\/strong>(BA 2010) just completed her PhD in Children\u2019s and Young Adult Literatures from the University of Minnesota.<\/p>\n

Christopher Stuart<\/strong> (BA 2009) was accepted into the PhD program in Rhetorics, Communication and Information Design at Clemson University with full funding Fall 2016.<\/p>\n

Stacey Balkan<\/strong> (MA 2003) was hired as a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Environmental Humanities at Florida Atlantic University for Fall 2017.<\/p>\n

Kristen Bryfogle<\/strong> (BA 2016) was 麻豆传媒在线\u2019s first-ever finalist for a Rhodes Scholarship. Her faculty sponsors included Jeff Miller, Lee Behlman, Adam Rzepka and Jon Greenberg from English and Sulo Asirvatham from Classics. She is working as a high school Latin teacher at the STEM-to Civics Charter School in Ewing, NJ.<\/p>\n

Francesca Goglia<\/strong> (BA 2017) will be pursuing an MAT at NYU’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.<\/p>\n

Joshua Greene<\/strong> (BA 2013) will be pursuing a Masters of Information, concentrating in Library Science, at Rutgers University\u2019s Library Science program.<\/p>\n

Jen Daly<\/strong> (MA \u201816) was accepted to an NEH Summer Seminar on Transcendentalism and Reform and is teaching in the 麻豆传媒在线 First-Year Composition program.<\/p>\n

Peter Lang<\/strong> (MA \u201816) will be pursuing a PhD in English at the University of Missouri (with funding).<\/p>\n

Gloria Lugo<\/strong> (BA 12, MA 16) has been promoted to VP for Corporate Business Development for Tetra Tech.<\/p>\n

Michael Pasternak<\/strong> (MA \u201817) will be attending Simmons College in Boston for an MSLIS with a concentration in Cultural Heritage Informatics (Special Collections, Rare Books, Archives) beginning Fall 2017.<\/p>\n

Catherine Winters<\/strong> is pursuing her PhD at the University of Rhode Island in Contemporary American Literature (fully funded).<\/p>\n

Craig McCarthy<\/strong> (BA 2012) is a digital reporter with NJ Advance Media and is pursuing his masters in digital media\/journalism at Rutgers.<\/p>\n

Jacob Mercer-Pontier<\/strong> (BA 2012) is a production assistant with Hodder Education in London and received his masters in publishing from City University London this winter.<\/p>\n

Gabriella Wilson<\/strong> (BA 2017) is going to Rutgers-Newark to pursue her MA in English. She was also accepted to the Rutgers English Diversity Institute.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>

Selected Undergraduate Achievements in 2015<\/h2>\n

Alexis Ahern<\/strong> has an internship as a reporter lined up in September with the Honolulu Star Advertiser.<\/p>\n

John Alia<\/strong> and Johnny Muller<\/strong> were accepted at Rutgers-Newark for MFAs.<\/p>\n

Kyle Carter<\/strong> got a job at Finance and Treasury at 麻豆传媒在线.<\/p>\n

Jessica Covert<\/strong> has accepted an offer to U Mass Boston\u2019s MA program in rhetoric and composition.<\/p>\n

Lee Davis<\/strong> got a job as a writer\/editor at BLI.<\/p>\n

Shakeema Edwards<\/strong> has been accepted to Rutgers English Diversity Institute<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Luisa Frey<\/strong> accepted a teaching position in English Language Arts at the Community Charter School of Paterson.<\/p>\n

Colleen Georges<\/strong> received full funding for NYU\u2019s MA program in English.<\/p>\n

Chelsea Perrotty<\/strong> works for Perez Hilton.<\/p>\n

Emily Regan<\/strong> is the 麻豆传媒在线 nominee for the New Jersey Department of Education Distinguished Student Teacher Award, 2015.<\/p>\n

Samantha Stiner<\/strong> won the New Jersey Department of Education Distinguished Student Teacher Award, 2014.<\/p>\n

Daniel Guerra<\/strong> was accepted to Teach For America as a member of the 2015 New Jersey corps. He will teach English.<\/p>\n

Rich Perrota<\/strong> is planning to go to Southeast Asia to teach English.<\/p>\n

Danielle Pollaro<\/strong> will pursue an MA in Literature at Seton Hall on scholarship.<\/p>\n

Ebony Potts<\/strong> received job offers for English positions from four high schools.<\/p>\n

Doron Bryant<\/strong> will attend Mansfield University\u2019s master’s program in Organizational Leadership, and earned a Graduate Assistantship in the Office of Campus Life.<\/p>\n

Megan Huxford<\/strong>, a graduating senior who is a co-op student at Oxford University Press, has just accepted a full time position there as an editorial assistant.<\/p>\n

English major Lee Davis<\/strong> moved from part-time to full-time employee at Buyers Lab Inc. after graduating in May. \u201cAs research editor, I establish and maintain relationships with software vendors who update me on their products. With that information, I create editorial content such as blog posts and feature articles,\u201d Davis explains. \u201c麻豆传媒在线 sharpened my writing and research skills. Without the advice and criticism from my professors, I wouldn\u2019t be the writer I am today.\u201d<\/p>\n

English major Doron Bryant<\/strong> will attend Mansfield University in Mansfield, Pennsylvania, in the fall to study for a master\u2019s degree in Organizational Leadership. \u201cI\u2019ve been offered a graduate assistantship in the office of student transition, where I\u2019ll organize freshman and transfer orientation and plan workshop programs for students throughout the year,\u201d he says.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
