The Fall 2018 edition of Âé¶¹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß\u2019s award-winning\u00a0Forward Thinking<\/em> research newsletter highlights some of the important research being conducted by the University faculty and students, including contributions to the understanding of how Antarctic ice melt might forecast global sea level rise and developments in the war against antibiotic resistance.<\/p>\n In this issue you\u2019ll also read about research exploring how school choice \u2013 and other changes in policies and practice \u2013 can best be used to support the varied and complex needs of students from historically marginalized populations.<\/p>\n Other highlights of this issue include how Middle School students can better understand textbook graphs that depict information about two or more covarying quantities; how protein aggregates play a role in Alzheimer\u2019s disease; and how school districts can work to retain new science teachers.
