Senior Seminar (HIST 400), a course designed to polish the student\u2019s research and writing skills, is to be taken during a student\u2019s final year at 麻豆传媒在线 and should be preceded by at least 21 semester hours in history including HIST 100. Students may shape a concentration (i.e., American, European, Non-Western) by selecting history electives in a specific area.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ba-history\/\">BA in History<\/a>, General Concentration and Public and Digital History Concentration<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ba-history\/\">Minor in History<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/catalog.montclair.edu\/programs\/public-and-digital-history-minor\/\">Minor in Public and Digital History<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/native-american-and-indigenous-studies-minor\/\">Minor in Native American and Indigenous Studies<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Social Studies Teacher Certification<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/academics\/programs\/ba-history\/\">BA in History<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Students who wish to pursue P-12 teacher certification in Social Studies must apply to and be admitted to the Teacher Education program. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/center-of-pedagogy\">Center for Pedagogy<\/a> strongly advises students interested in Social Studies Teacher Certification to visit their website for the required Professional Sequence of courses and other important program requirements, guidelines, and procedures.<\/p>\n<p>Social studies teachers are expected to have a broad understanding of the multiple factors which help shape society and culture and influence individual behavior.
