A leave of absence without pay for personal reasons. Staff may request for a leave of absence without salary to be considered by the University for non medical purposes.<\/span><\/p>\n Eligibility:<\/strong><\/p>\n Always refer to the appropriate collective negotiations agreements for any variations or additional details in the above policy.<\/span><\/p>\n Notification<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Submitting Your Leave Request<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n Employees may request a leave of absence within Workday to initiate the process and prompt the necessary paperwork. View<\/span> our guide on how to <\/span>Request Leave of Absence<\/span><\/a> for instructions..<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div> Employees that are approved for a personal leave of absence are not permitted to charge any accrued paid time off (including sick, vacation, personal, administrative and\/or compensatory) during their absence.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n An employee on leave without salary for one calendar month or longer does not accrue vacation or sick leave benefits.<\/span><\/p>\n\n
