{"id":13026,"date":"2019-09-03T15:05:57","date_gmt":"2019-09-03T19:05:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/?p=13026"},"modified":"2019-09-11T08:20:21","modified_gmt":"2019-09-11T12:20:21","slug":"providing-access-to-university-applications-from-anywhere","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/information-technology\/2019\/09\/03\/providing-access-to-university-applications-from-anywhere\/","title":{"rendered":"Providing Access to University Applications from Anywhere"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Division of Information Technology\u00a0has recently deployed a new Citrix environment that not only supports published applications, but also supports published desktops.<\/p>\n<p>This new environment can be accessed by logging into\u00a0<a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/citrix.montclair.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"citrix URL\">https:\/\/citrix.montclair.edu<\/a>,\u00a0and entering your NetID credentials. Once logged into Citrix, you will be able to access the applications and shortcuts you have been using with the older Xen App Citrix environment \u2013<a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"http:\/\/xenapp.montclair.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\">xenapp.montclair.edu<\/a>. Users will no longer be required to install the Citrix Receiver (now called Work Space).<\/p>\n<p>Using the new Citrix environment, access and run published applications and published desktops via a web browser. IT recommends using the Firefox web browser, but other current browsers are also compatible.
