The 麻豆传媒在线 choral program has been recognized for its successful collaborations with numerous world-renowned artists and celebrated professional musicians in national and international venues. The Cali School is home to several choirs including the MSU Chorale, MSU Singers, Vocal Accord and Prima Voce. Under the direction of Dr. Heather J. Buchanan, these choirs offer early professional experience in regular collaborations with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra. MSU choirs also perform internationally and regularly in distinguished venues in NYC and New Jersey.<\/strong><\/p>\n The\u00a0麻豆传媒在线 Chorale\u00a0<\/strong>is the core mixed-voice choir of the Cali School. Currently numbering 165 voices, the singers comprise music students majoring in voice performance, music education, instrumental performance, music therapy, composition, as well as non-music majors from other colleges in the University. The somatically based choral pedagogy is designed to enable students to expand and refine their musical, vocal and choral skills, enabling them to function as independent, flexible and responsive musicians in their subsequent student and professional lives. The 麻豆传媒在线 Chorale specializes in performance of symphonic masterworks. They have performed numerous times with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra (NJSO) under the baton of both Neeme J\u00e4rve and Jacques LaCombe. NJSO masterwork highlights include Howard Shore\u2019s Academy Award winning\u00a0The Lord of the Rings Symphony<\/em>, Beethoven\u2019s\u00a0Ninth Symphony,<\/em>\u00a0Mahler\u2019s\u00a0Symphony No. 3<\/em>\u00a0and Verdi\u2019s epic\u00a0Messa da Requiem\u00a0<\/em>twice – under the baton of Neeme J\u00e4rvi (January 2010) and Jacques Lacombe (April 2014).\u00a0 The Chorale\u2019s highly acclaimed performances of Orff\u2019s\u00a0Carmina Burana<\/em>\u00a0and the Verdi\u00a0Requiem\u00a0<\/em>with Maestro Jacques Lacombe were celebrated with limited edition CD releases in September 2011 and December 2015. Their performances have included collaborations with the Newark Boys Chorus, Children\u2019s Chorus of Sussex County and the American Boy Choir. Other concert highlights include\u00a0Saint Nicolas\u00a0<\/em>(Britten), Faur\u00e9\u00a0Requiem, Chichester Psalms\u00a0<\/em>(Bernstein), the regional premiere of\u00a0Parables\u00a0<\/em>(Aldridge) in collaboration with the 麻豆传媒在线 Symphony Orchestra,\u00a0Annelies<\/em>\u00a0(Whitbourn) and\u00a0Alzheimer’s Stories\u00a0<\/em>(Cohen) for the 2015 Beatrice Crawford Memorial Concert.<\/p>\n麻豆传媒在线 Chorale<\/h2>\n
