The program resides under <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/tryengineering.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">TryEngineering.org<\/a> and works in partnership with the <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/tryengineering.org\/get-involved\/ieee-members\/volunteer-training\/\" target=\"_blank\">Volunteer STEM Portal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>The Benefits of Being a STEM Champion<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Recognition for your contributions to pre-university STEM education<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to be involved in a community of STEM outreach volunteers<\/li>\n<li>Grant funding opportunity<\/li>\n<li>Opportunity to build Region and Section awareness of your work<\/li>\n<li>Ability to support IEEE pre-university education metrics by sharing your events and event results<\/li>\n<li>Access to Champion-specific STEM outreach resources<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Wang, Assistant Professor, shares the 2023 title with 26 others selected from a pool of 92 applicants globally.
