{"id":206576,"date":"2025-01-08T14:24:56","date_gmt":"2025-01-08T19:24:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/school-of-computing\/?p=206576"},"modified":"2025-01-08T14:24:56","modified_gmt":"2025-01-08T19:24:56","slug":"student-wins-two-awards-at-asme-imece-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.montclair.edu\/school-of-computing\/2025\/01\/08\/student-wins-two-awards-at-asme-imece-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Student Wins Two Awards at ASME IMECE 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Jordan Murphy, a graduate student majoring in Computer Science, attended the <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/event.asme.org\/IMECE-2024\" target=\"_blank\">American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) International Mechanical Engineering Congress &amp; Exposition (IMECE)<\/a>\u00a0at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland, Oregon, in late November 2024 to compete in a National Science Foundation (NSF) student research poster competition. In this competition, he received both the \u201cMost Attractive and Organized\u201d Poster Award and the Travel Award.<\/p>\n<p>Jordan Murphy is a graduate research assistant at the <a rel=\"noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/ruili728.github.io\/\" target=\"_blank\">Multimodal Interaction &amp; Affective Computing (MIAC) Lab<\/a>, led by Dr. Rui Li, in the School of Computing.
