As part of the Pre-Fall Orientation and Welcome Week experience, we hosted a day of service for first-year students on Saturday August 26, 2023. This allowed first-year students to get out into the community, engaging with our neighbors and doing community service.<\/h3>\n

First-year students had the chance to volunteer with 13 off campus partners.<\/p>\n

Partners included:

\n– @medshareofficial<\/a>
\n– @brookdaleparkorg<\/a>
\n– @pillar_care_continuum<\/a>
\n– @evasvillage<\/a><\/p>\n

And many more!<\/p>\n

We hit close to 600 hours of service with a total of 105 student volunteers! All groups of students for each site were accompanied by faculty\/staff that acted as chaperones who also had the chance to volunteer.<\/h3>\n

As community service continues to become a growing part of Â鶹´«Ã½ÔÚÏß, this may become an annual day of service for first-years students.<\/p>\n
